The next board meeting is May 17 & 18 in the
board office. The board meeting will start at 9:00 am on the
17th and at 8:00 am on the 18th.
Exam Results
FLS, PLS and/or ALLS Results - mailed May 10
FE & PE Results - no word yet when we will get
them
FE, PE, FS & PS Exam Fees for the October
2012 Exam
Effective for the October 2012 exam, the FE,
PE, FS & PS exam fees will be paid directly to NCEES.
The only exam fee the Alabama Board will collect is the exam fee
for the ALLS (Part 3) State Specific exam for land surveyors.
New applicants - once your application
is approved by the board, you will be sent your AL Exam
Candidate ID number with instructions to complete the exam
registration process. Do not register with NCEES
until you have been approved by the board and received your AL
Exam Candidate ID number.
Re-exam applicants - you will need to
log back into your NCEES account when registering for the October
2012 exam and select your exam, location and pay the exam fee by
NCEES' September 6 deadline.
If you cannot attend the exam, you would need
to contact NCEES about their refund policy.
Proposed Administrative Code Changes
The board has
proposed changes to the Administrative Code. Comments
would need to be sent to

no later than June 6.
Storm Shelter Information
We are aware of the problems individuals may be
having with their safe rooms. We have a
letter with information and a list that contains names of
licensed Professional Engineers if you would like to obtain the
services of a Professional Engineer who practices in the area of
structural engineering.
