Section 34-11-8 of the Licensure law
requires that certificates of licensure should be renewed.
Renewals are sent out approximately October 15 of every
year to the last known address of the licensee.
It is your responsibility to keep your address updated with
the board office.
The licensure law also requires continuing
professional competency hours for renewing or reinstating a
license.

Your license lapses on December 31 of every
year. If you practice
or offer to practice in Alabama after this date, unless renewed,
you will be violating the Licensure Law and are subject to
disciplinary action.
Section 330-X-13
of the Administrative Code contains the requirements of Continuing
Professional Competency.
